About this artwork
Back in World War II, the Ministry of Food had this cool idea of creating posters to inspire people to salt their fish, helping them get the most out of their food during times of rationing. This one picture of a fisherman holding up a fish, with a caption that says 'A New Fish Dish - Fresh-Salted Cod', is a great example. The colours in this print are matched perfectly with the original, and it's got the seal of approval from the Imperial War Museum. Every time someone buys one of these prints, it helps support the work that the museum does.
