About this artwork

'London Cyclists' is an artwork created by UK's Ernest Ibbetson for the London Regiment that shows an army cyclist from the territorial forces, off his bike and getting his rifle ready. The rest of his battalion is close by, prepared to step in. This artwork has been colour-matched to its original version and has received the nod from the Imperial War Museum. Unframed prints are usually shipped on the next working day if ordered before 2pm. Framed items can take one or two working days longer with our experts in the framing workshop.

Express services:

Express service for unframed print and posters by Royal Mail Special Delivery to arrive the next working day for an additional cost. Framed prints are always shipped by express courier.

Shipping Fees:

UK - £3.95 for unframed items by 1st Class Packetpost
UK - £6.90 for unframed items by Royal Mail Special Delivery
UK - £8.95 for framed items.

International - Shipping is calculated before you check out according to destination.
International - Unframed by Registered AirMail or by premium express courier (select at checkout).
Very large prints are always sent by express service.
International - Framed by premium express courier (select at checkout).

About the artist

Ernest Ibbetson, born in 1877, was a distinguished artist well known for his paintings of British Army personnel. From 1910, he expanded his portfolio as an illustrator for Baden Powell's Boy Scouts and Boys' Life magazine. Among his notable works, "The London Cyclists" (1912) was created for the London Regiment. The poster depicts a territorial army cyclist dismounting to load his rifle, with the rest of the battalion prepared to support him.
