About this artwork

Evan Charlton, a British artist, was famous for his surrealism in painting landscapes and interiors. In the course of World War II, the War Artists Advisory Committee assigned Charlton to create a painting of a parachute factory. It showcases a line of women at sewing machines, engulfed by rolls of white parachute silk. This print is colour-coordinated with the original painting and got the thumbs up from the Imperial War Museum. Every buy contributes to the museum's ongoing work.
