About this artwork

In 1939, at the start of World War Two, British artist Frank Mason was hired by The Ministry of Information to create a coloured poster that said 'The British Navy Guards the Freedom of Us All'. This print has been matched to the original poster's colour and has the approval of the Imperial War Museum. Every single purchase contributes to the museum's operation.

UK - £6.90 for unframed items by Royal Mail Special Delivery
UK - £8.95 for framed items.

International - Shipping is calculated before you check out according to destination.

Very large prints are always sent by express service.

About the artist

Introducing Frank Henry Mason (1876 -1965), a gifted artist best known for his marine and coastal works in oils and watercolours. Originally from Seaton Carew, Frank started his journey at Scarborough College of Art.

Not just a painter, he was also a skilled illustrator and poster designer. His talents were put to use during WW1, where he served as a shipping war artist. He also found success in designing posters for railway companies. Plus, he was a proud member of the acclaimed Staithes Group.
