Andrews. He resided in Knightsbridge and was married to the daughter of John Kennedy, a nurseryman from Hammersmith, who assisted him in writing descriptions for the plants he illustrated.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eAndrews was known for his unique botanical artistry. Unlike his peers who were hired simply to create small drawings, Andrews wore many hats - artist, engraver, colourist, and publisher. His first publication, 'The Botanist's Repository', was published in London across ten volumes from 1797 to 1812, providing reasonably-priced plant images for Britain's burgeoning community of hobby gardeners.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eHis work was praised for its accuracy by the Kew publication, Curtis's Botanical Magazine.
