About the artist

Abram Games (1914-1996) was a British graphic designer and artist, best known for his iconic posters for the British government during World War II. He was a pioneer of modernist design, and his work was heavily influenced by Constructivism and Bauhaus. Games was also a prolific commercial artist, creating logos and advertisements for a variety of clients. He was awarded the OBE in 1969 for his services to design.
