Throughout his career, whether as a commercial illustrator or as a distinguished artist, Warhol consistently highlighted the connection between money and his art. In 1981, he created the Dollar Signs series, which have become some of his most famous pieces. The 80s became a symbolic era representing the bond between art and money.
