His art journey, which began in the 1940s when he was a student and continued until his passing in 1987, featured drawing as a constant medium. His unique \"blotted line\" technique was a major hit, often put to use in commercial projects. Warhol's illustrations, particularly of shoes, were so popular that he had to engage assistants to help him with the workload. He even got his mom to do some of his lettering.
