About the artist

Barbara Hepworth was a British sculptor and artist who was a major figure in the international art scene in the mid-20th century. She was a pioneer of modernism, and her work was heavily influenced by the natural world. She was a leader in the abstract art movement, and her sculptures often featured organic forms and abstract shapes. Her work was exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, and she was awarded numerous awards and honors.
