About the artist

Raised in Madrid, Spain, Carlos Casamayor embarked on his advertising career after completing his Advertising and Marketing degree in 1980. With over two decades of experience, he refined his graphics and audiovisual design skills at esteemed multinational advertising agencies like Kenyon Eckhardt Group/Madrid, James Walter Thompson/Madrid, Mc Cann Erickson Group/Madrid, and Ogilvy & Mather/Madrid. In 1991, he established his own agency in Madrid and served as the Creative Manager until his first visit to America in 1999. Throughout his professional journey, Carlos maintained close ties with various artists and professionals, including illustrators, photographers, and gallery owners. Further expanding his artistic repertoire, he embraced a diverse range of mediums and techniques, including oils, acrylics, pastels, and photography. Since integrating technology into his work in 1991, he has developed a minimalist style characterised by expansive spaces, symmetrical layouts, and highly conceptual art.
