Gluck was instrumental in advocating for better quality artist's paint, pushing for the incorporation of cold-pressed oil and hand-ground pigments. She had exhibitions at the Fine Art Society in 1926, '32, '37, and finally in 1973 when her artwork got a new lease of life. During the 1940s, Gluck relocated to Steyning, Sussex, where she resided until her passing in 1978.Gluck's signature 'Gluck Frame' is a famous aspect of her work, a design she developed to accompany her paintings, making it a crucial element of a room's aesthetic appeal. Interestingly, this self-portrait isn't housed in a 'Gluck', but a white 'Whistler' frame created by Rowley Frames which Gluck used for her more petite portraits in the 1940s. This print is accurately colour-matched to the original and is endorsed by the National Portrait Gallery.
