About the artist

John Littlejohns (1874-1955) was a well-known member of the Royal Society of British Artists. He stood out for his many exhibitions.

In the 1930s, the rise of Art Deco and the flourishing Railway Poster market had a significant impact on decorative patterns. John Littlejohns, being a prominent designer, was notably affected by these trends.
