About the artist

In La Jolla, California, nestled within an artist colony, Lisa Danielle came into the world. From toddlerhood with a pencil to an award-winning childhood immersed in the spectrum of Crayola, Lisa's path was unwavering, leading to a partial scholarship for her college art degree. The commercial illustration job she secured after graduation felt limiting, so at 23, she shifted to becoming a self-sustaining fine artist.

Now, her life straddles Indian reservations and vast Southwestern ranches, her horses, Western library, and artifact collection nearby. For over three decades, she's been crafting intimate depictions of the historic Old West, working primarily in acrylics. Her paintings resonate, connecting viewers to past craftsmanship, a fascinating study of collective aesthetics.

Living on the fringe of Sedona, Arizona's artist haven, Lisa personifies the ideal Western lifestyle. Her experiences and knowledge of Native American culture and Western heritage permeate her still-life works. As history unfolds, Lisa hopes her use of dramatic light and shadow evoke more questions than answers.
