About the artist
Born in 1971, Israeli native Mali Nave spent her childhood in Melbourne before returning to her home country for her teens. At 18, she completed a two-year service in the Israel Defense Forces. Her passion for design led her to Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, where she received a BA in Textile Design in 1997. In her twenties, she relocated to sunny Los Angeles, finding inspiration in the vibrant atmosphere. After a five-year stint as a web designer, Mali returned to textiles, opening a studio in Israel, and showcasing her designs in Europe and the USA. In 2009, she welcomed twins and continues teaching at Shenkar while undertaking freelance design work. Mali's work combines classic with fresh, drawing inspiration from nature and geometric patterns.
