About the artist

Marc Lucien, a Bronx native, spent his formative years in New York during the '60s. Rather than rushing off to college, he instead embarked on a journey, dedicating his time to painting and sketching, primarily in the Caribbean and the Florida Keys.

Upon returning to New York, he started working in a frame shop located in Manhattan. Being surrounded by art on a daily basis sparked his creativity and encouraged him to push the boundaries of his own painting. It was there that he made connections with friends who later helped him to start selling his artwork in local galleries.

Seeing success in his art, Marc was then able to fully commit his time to his passion and artwork. He began traveling once again, a lifestyle that had previously fueled his creativity and inspiration.
