About the artist

Originally from London, Marlene Healey is a well known British artist well known for her abstract artwork. Her unique style blends oil paint with mixed media elements, resulting in artworks that exude a distinct mood. Healey's original creations, whether on canvas or paper, are best described as abstract designs with a textural edge. She loves the spontaneity of layering paint, which lends a unique texture to her pieces.

Healey's childhood was scattered across diverse locales like Paris, Germany, and the US, thanks to her father's Air Force job. This exposure to different cultures refined her ability to adapt and instilled in her a variety of values. Eventually, Healey made the United States her home. It was there that she pursued her passion for art and science at Scottsdale and Mesa Community Colleges in Arizona, and later at Arizona State University.
