About the artist

Barcelona-based artist, Marta Chojnacka, masterfully merges her deep love for flora and vibrantly bold hues from her studio. Having completed her Fine Arts degree at Poland's University of Warmia & Mazury, she soon made the move to London, which is where her first exhibitions took place.
Drawing inspiration from the seaside, foliage and everyday items, Chojnacka transforms these influences into stunning gouache and watercolour pieces. Among her favourite artists, she counts David Hockney and Mattise, attracted by their vibrant colour palettes and truthful representations of reality.
Chojnacka's work delves into the intimate and dreamlike moments experienced by ordinary individuals in their daily lives. These individuals, often overlooked, provide a fascinating study when captured in seemingly trivial situations.
She is adept at encapsulating the crux of a moment with swift brush strokes that flawlessly align with her delicate technique. Utilizing paper as her canvas, her artwork remains fresh and dynamic.
In addition to her personal work, Chojnacka also serves as the Art Director for Materia Rica, a creative jewelry brand she co-founded with Joan Ayguadé Jarque in London.
