He created the 'Three Graces' in 1888, during a stay with his friend and fellow artist, Vincent Van Gogh. At that time, Van Gogh was residing in Arles, a city in southern France. The painting showcases the Roman necropolis situated in Arles, which served as a Christian burial site. Gauguin interestingly chose to leave out nearly all historical markers, only retaining the domed tower and a small portion of the church constructed on the site in his painting.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Posters.co.uk","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":42930907578617,"sku":"354574","price":50.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0600\/1475\/6089\/products\/framed-print-paul-gauguin-the-three-graces-354574.jpg?v=1658736025","url":"https:\/\/www.posters.co.uk\/products\/framed-print-paul-gauguin-the-three-graces-354574","provider":"Posters.co.uk","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
