About the artist

Established in 2015, Reign & Hail is the brainchild of a formally trained graphic designer and animator, who crafts minimalist yet bold prints, underscored by a strong focus on typography. The founder's modernist principles guide their creative process, merging both old and new design elements to forge a distinctive mid-century style.

The essence of the designer's graphic design experience is reflected in their meticulous attention to detail. From extensive font research to the replication of vintage printing techniques, it all culminates in the production of works that emit a sense of genuine authenticity.

Operating from a quaint studio in Suffolk, England, this designer tirelessly explores expansion possibilities for their collection. They draw significant inspiration from well known Swiss design trailblazers like Josef Müller-Brockmann and Armin Hofmann. The resultant style is minimalist, graphic and firmly rooted in modernism. Disregarding fleeting design trends, the designer instead values timelessness in their works, striving for designs that could fit into any era in the past half-century. Over time, their style has simplified, focusing on effectively capturing the essence of the subject.
