About the artist

Teis Albers is a contemporary mixed-media artist and painter with a reputation throughout the Netherlands. After studying at the graphic school in Eindhoven, he embarked on a freelance journey, transitioning from the bustling city of 's-Hertogenbosch to a serene village. The striking contrast between urban and village settings informs his artistic expression, imagining the sight of cracked interior walls adorned with shredded posters jaxtapose with serene natural expanses.

Albers' collages blend illustration, photography, and various assembly techniques. He adds layers of paint and varnish onto his digitally printed canvases, creating artworks featuring blooming florals, fascinating figures, and soaring shapes. One can constantly discover new elements in his complex designs, making each Albers print a ongoing revelation.

Drawing inspiration primarily from music album covers and film posters, he values their potent blend of photography and graphic design. The art pulls the viewer in, calling for action, to listen to a record, read a book, or watch a movie. Albers finds this influence fascinating and it informs his work as he continues to develop his style.
