About this artwork

British artist Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson perched himself high above the intersection of Blackfriars Bridge and the Embankment to craft this intense, v-shaped piece. Nevinson depicts the chaotic energy of the city, from the scurry of daily commuters to the bustling river traffic and smoke-belching chimneys of the industrial docks. This replica has been colour-matched to the original and received the Courtauld Gallery's seal of approval. Each sale contributes to the ongoing work of the Courtauld.

Express service for unframed print and posters by Royal Mail Special Delivery to arrive the next working day for an additional cost. Framed prints are always shipped by express courier.

UK - £3.95 for unframed items by 1st Class Packetpost
UK - £6.90 for unframed items by Royal Mail Special Delivery
UK - £8.95 for framed items.

International - Shipping is calculated before you check out according to destination.
International - Unframed by Registered AirMail or by premium express courier (select at checkout).
Very large prints are always sent by express service.

About the artist

Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson was a British modernist painter and printmaker. He was a member of the London Group and the Camden Town Group, and was one of the most famous war artists of World War I. Nevinson studied at the Slade School of Art and the Académie Julian in Paris. His early works were influenced by cubism and futurism, and he later developed a more figurative style. He was a prolific painter, producing a wide range of works including landscapes, portraits, and abstracts.

Also associated with: The Vorticists, The London Group, The Great War, The Western Front, The Royal Academy, The Imperial War Museum.
