About this artwork

Check out this excellent print that's inspired by a chromolithograph plate showcasing different kinds of tomatoes, originated from the Album Benary. This album is a treasure trove of 28 colourful plates showcasing various vegetables, all created by Ernst Benary. Each of these plates comes with a description in not just one but four languages - German, English, French, and Russian. And to top it all, this stellar piece dates back to 1879.

Unframed prints are usually shipped on the next working day if ordered before 2pm. Framed items can take one or two working days longer with our experts in the framing workshop.

Express services:

Express service for unframed print and posters by Royal Mail Special Delivery to arrive the next working day for an additional cost. Framed prints are always shipped by express courier.

Shipping Fees:

UK - £3.95 for unframed items by 1st Class Packetpost
UK - £6.90 for unframed items by Royal Mail Special Delivery
UK - £8.95 for framed items.

International - Shipping is calculated before you check out according to destination.
International - Unframed by Registered AirMail or by premium express courier (select at checkout).
Very large prints are always sent by express service.
International - Framed by premium express courier (select at checkout).

About the artist

Ernst Benary (1819 - 1893). Ernst Benary was an acclaimed horticulturist and botanist, was recognised for his vivid and appealing prints. His unique style made vegetables look tantalizing, adding a lively pop of colour to any environment.

After a thorough apprenticeship in horticulture and numerous travels, Benary established his own firm, "Ernst Benary Samenzucht für Gartensamen und Pflanzen", from a rented apartment in Erfurt. (Ernst Benary seed breeding for garden seeds and plants)
