About this artwork
Audrey Hepburn, born in Belgium on 4 May 1929 and died on 20 January 1993, was a British actress who was widely recognised as an icon of both cinema and style. Hepburn's career skyrocketed in the 50s as she took on numerous lead roles during Hollywood's Golden Age. The picture in question was captured for the 1966 film 'How to Steal a Million'. In this film, Hepburn portrayed the main character, Nicole Bonette, a forger's daughter who finds herself entangled in one of his scams.
