About the artist
For over two decades, Joni designed illustrations for Hallmark, with her work appearing in Europe and North America. However, her artistic interests gradually shifted towards wildlife. In 2001, she chose to split her time between Hallmark and her newfound passion. Her wildlife artwork quickly gained nationwide recognition, convincing her to commit full-time to this venture in 2006.
Joni's work is inspired by her global travels, especially her four-week photographic safari to Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa in 2004. This trip fulfilled her dream of witnessing Africa's wildlife in their natural habitat, a theme that is prevalent in her paintings. Her art is driven by a deep-rooted passion for conservation and a desire to inspire others.
