About the artist
In 1964, Eksell authored the book, Design = Ekonomi. Here, he emphasised that design wasn't solely about aesthetics, but also a significant economic driver. Between 1939 and 1941, he refined his skills in Illustration and Graphic Art at The School of Book and Advertising Art in Stockholm, under the guidance of Professor Hugo Steiner-Prag.
His remarkable contribution to Design earned him an honorary Professorship from the Swedish Government in 2011. Eksell approached his work with a sense of joy and curiosity and remained a prolific creator till the end.
