About this artwork
Peter Johan Schou was a well known painter from Denmark, popular for his floral paintings in the early 1900s. He created an oil painting titled 'Tulips in a Vase on a Draped Table' in 1915. Schou's method of setting the flowers against a dark grey backdrop was a brilliant way to highlight their vibrant pink hues.
