About this artwork

Between August and November 1912, Spencer Gore lived in the house of fellow artist Harold Gilman in Letchworth, a pioneering New Town. This place was on the cutting edge of modern ideas about urban planning and contemporary lifestyle. His most unique artwork was created during his stay there. Gore's landscapes featured a vivid, unorthodox colour scheme and he arranged shapes into geometric structures. 'The Beanfield' is particularly known for the zig-zag boundary of the colourful beanstalks in the forefront. According to Gilman, Gore once mentioned that 'the colours seen in nature (like the field of beans) are assembled into patterns'.

International - Shipping is calculated before you check out according to destination.

Very large prints are always sent by express service.
