About this artwork
Check out this photograph by Johnny Moncada, used on the front cover of The Tatler, released on 28 August 1963. The picture was taken to highlight the new season's Paris fashion collections. The cover features a model lounging in an ensemble by Nina Ricci. She's wearing a vibrant tangerine Lesur mohair coat, which features a sleek midnight blue Lesage satin lining, teamed with a matching ankle-length skirt. She completes the look with a crisp white lawn shirt, cinched at the waist with a cummerbund, and accessorised with double strands of pearls featuring blue and white clasps. The fabulous hairdo is the work of Aldo from AldoBruno. A unique aspect of the description of this ensemble is the strict warning that follows - the designs are copyrighted and cannot be replicated.
