About this artwork
Cary Grant, whose real-life story began in England on January 18, 1904, and ended in America on November 29, 1986, was one of the most iconic figures in Classic Hollywood. His charm and charisma were undeniable, making him a leading man of his era. What set him apart, though, was his unique transatlantic accent and a talent for comedy. A great example of this is the 1942 comedy-drama 'Talk of the Town', where he shines as the character Leopold Dilg, a mill worker turned political activist.
