Marlon Brando, born April 3, 1924 and died July 1, 2004, was a well known American actor and filmmaker. His impact on the 20th-century film industry was significant. This image is from the 1979 American psychological war film 'Apocalypse Now', directed by none other than Francis Ford Coppola. In this movie, Brando took on the role of the rogue Army Special Forces officer Colonel Kurtz, a character that was implicated in murder and believed to be mentally unstable.
