About the artist

Marta Wiley, a vibrant and multilayered artist, was born in Mexico City and is of European, Irish, and Cherokee descent. Her works communicate a deep, soulful passion that reflects the dignity of her figurative creations. Wiley's concerns extend far beyond her canvas, focusing on the planet, the evolution of humanity, and the delicate balance between our environment and its stewards.

Wiley seeks the ultimate apotheosis of the Highest Self, encompassing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. But her talents don't stop at painting. Wiley is also a gifted songstress and lyricist, further showcasing her diverse repertoire of skills.

She attributes her skill in painting to her grandmother's instruction. Wiley's style has also been influenced by the works of Sargent, Edvard Munch, and Kathe Kollowitz. She refined her craft at the Otis Parsons School of Design.
