About this artwork
"Imagine a floating world filled with hidden nooks, half-revealed items, and hinted elements. It's like gazing at Rorschach inkblots, where viewers are encouraged to decipher their own symbols within this uncertain visual spectrum. Observations of clouds, reflections, landscapes, and coastal elements are all part of this world.To bring rhythm into this realm, I utilise a variety of mediums - paint, pencil, fabric, collage, and metallic materials. I let my paintings grow naturally, layering paint, marks, and collage to evolve the pictorial space. This process yields glimpses of hidden areas, half-revealed items, and hinted elements. I use gentle layers of texture, sketching, and colour to craft an undefined space. The image is continually refined until the 'found' image emerges. A painting for me is only complete when balance and unity are achieved. I like to refer to these as 'visual poems'.This sensuous world is one to be submerged in, experienced, and delighted in." - Ele Pack
