About the artist

Louise Body, a Fine Art graduate from Nottingham Trent University, veered into the design world post-graduation. Establishing her own wallpaper and fabric design company in 2003, she shifted her career focus to full-time painting by 2020. Her fascination with painting, fostered since childhood, reflects the artistic influence of her family. Being a coastal resident, Louise finds inspiration in her seaside surroundings, often making it a recurring theme in her work. She masterfully amalgamates memories with abstract sentiments, producing paintings that strike a balance between the concrete and abstract. Louise's distinctive landscapes and coastal works, marked by layers of acrylic paint, exhibit her preferred palette of plaster pinks and mineral greens. Louise lives on the South Coast, where she shares life with her husband and two children.
