One of the pioneers of utilizing Mac-based technologies in art creation, his graphic designs found favour with notable clientele like David Bowie, The Residents, DreamWorks, Levis, Neiman Marcus, Sony Music, and even Apple.
Ray's designs were distinctive, appearing on products as varied as scarves, ceramics, wristwatches, surfboards, and even a Mini Cooper. His extensive portfolio includes vibrant paintings and works on paper. He combined Xerography, handmade woodblock prints, newsprint, and magazine images with parabolic forms and abstract patterns, drawing inspiration from mid-century modernism, Dada, Fluxus, decorative arts, and Pop Art.
