Sandro Botticelli, well known Italian painter from the Early Renaissance period, is most famous for his inventive portrayals of religious and mythological themes. 'Primavera' is one of his stand-out works, a grand scale oil painting that showcases various figures from ancient mythology in a garden, radiating the vibrant aura of Spring. This work of art has gained world fame, not just for its impressive size and intricate detail, but also because it was specially commissioned by the influential Medici family.

Express services:

Express service for unframed print and posters by Royal Mail Special Delivery to arrive the next working day for an additional cost. Framed prints are always shipped by express courier.

UK - £3.95 for unframed items by 1st Class Packetpost
UK - £6.90 for unframed items by Royal Mail Special Delivery
UK - £8.95 for framed items.

International - Shipping is calculated before you check out according to destination.
International - Unframed by Registered AirMail or by premium express courier (select at checkout).
Very large prints are always sent by express service.
International - Framed by premium express courier (select at checkout).

About the artist

Sandro Botticelli (1445-1510) was an Italian painter of the Early Renaissance. He was one of the most celebrated artists of his time, and his works were highly sought after by the Medici family. His style was characterised by a graceful linearity and a delicate use of colour, and he was heavily influenced by the works of the Florentine masters. Botticelli was a devout Christian, and his works often featured religious themes. He was also a master of the Neoplatonic school of thought, which was popular in Florence during his lifetime. Botticelli's works are still highly regarded today, and his legacy continues to inspire artists around the world.
