About this artwork

After attending art college, Jane Robbins, an illustrator and collage artist, cultivated a deep fascination with flat pattern, patchwork, and discovered items, blending them to create fresh visuals. "I spot patterns in all sorts of places - from magazines to packaging, and even the interior of envelopes, but newspapers are the ultimate treasure trove." Her love for local landscapes and architecture fuels her inspiration, as seen in her piece featuring 'The Long Man' in East Sussex. The Long Man of Wilmington, also known as the Wilmington Giant, is a hill figure located on the steep inclines of Windover Hill near Wilmington.

Unframed prints are usually shipped on the next working day if ordered before 2pm. Framed items can take one or two working days longer with our experts in the framing workshop.

Express services:

Express service for unframed print and posters by Royal Mail Special Delivery to arrive the next working day for an additional cost. Framed prints are always shipped by express courier.

Shipping Fees:

UK - £3.95 for unframed items by 1st Class Packetpost
UK - £6.90 for unframed items by Royal Mail Special Delivery
UK - £8.95 for framed items.

International - Shipping is calculated before you check out according to destination.
International - Unframed by Registered AirMail or by premium express courier (select at checkout).
Very large prints are always sent by express service.
International - Framed by premium express courier (select at checkout).

About the artist

Artist and scholar Jane Robbins is known for her exclusive engagement with the vivid medium of soft pastel. With a focus on familiar subjects like waves, beaches, culinary scenes, city life, the desert, and the coastal landscape of New England, she aims to encapsulate the emotions and dynamism of everyday scenarios.

Drawn to the complicated, extreme, and lively, Jane's artwork is marked by robust colour, principles, and geometry. In her words, "My fondness for horizontals, verticals, and angles, and the forms they create is evident in my work. I dive right into a painting! In a way, my artwork presents powerful glimpses of everyday scenes." Her modern impressionist art pieces have been selected for various local, regional, and national exhibits, including the Annual Newport Art Museum, the National Show of the Arizona Pastel Artists Association, the Northeast National Pastel Exhibition, and the International Exhibition of the Colourado Pastel Society. She resided in Saunderstown, RI.
