About the artist

Originally from Kowloon, China, Onan Balin entered the world in 1970. As a youngster, he was known for his playful antics at school, which surprised his parents since he spent a lot of his time at home immersed in sketching.

Balin's life was a testament to his multifaceted personality and inner resilience. He shone academically under the watchful eyes of his teachers, leading him to Shandong University to chart a course in Finance. His passion for drawing accompanied him through life's quieter moments, though it was always a secondary pursuit.

The 1990s brought Balin to the US due to his financial career. The liberal environment of his new home triggered a personal evolution, pushing his love for art into the limelight. The scenic beauty of his hometown, Kowloon, heavily reflected in his artwork. His recent collection made its debut at ArtExpo New York, and his masterpieces are desired both nationally and globally.
